L-R James, AK, Bryson and JD

Sorry Girls, I asked for phone numbers to post but their Mom's said NO!
Maybe later, like in 10-12 yr’s or so..:-)

In case you haven’t noticed these are a bunch of good golfers with great manners who have obviously been the beneficiary of some good parenting making them a pleasure to be around, and watch
play the game.

Next Stop, World Qualifier, Glen Ellen Country Club Mills MA.

Bryson and his folks went down a day early to spend some time with friends in CT Saturday,  and also to reduce the travel pressures for Sunday, Mothers day..
We drove down Sunday Morning and left about 10:00 AM.
Mothers day wasn't looking real spiffy when I got up, it was 28° and snowing.

We arrived at Southwick about 1:20 PM signed in, rented a cart, and waited around for the others to arrive.
It was very cool and WINDY about 100 mph winds, ok maybe it was only 40 mph, but it felt like a 100:-)..
Bryson arrived a little later and headed to the practice green for some chipping and putting practice.
He had a 2:40 Tee Time with Alex, and JD.
We spent a little time as usual waiting around talking to some old friends and parents of competitors.
Pete was talking to the other caddies before their tee off.
I don't know what the heck that is hanging out from the rear end of Xavier’s Caddy:-)
I'll have to ask him later, hopefully it's not serious and curable.

The first Hole was a par 5 into the teeth of the wind, They all hit decent drives and all got up around the green pretty much uneventful, but Alex was on the green in 2 and drained his putt for an Eagle and Bryson and JD walked off with Pars.
That hole pretty much defined the round, Alex was playing some exemplary golf, hitting shots where he needed to, and capitalizing on those good shots by draining pretty much every putt he looked at, and consequently shot a great round of 32, which might be the lowest round I have ever personally witnessed.

Bryson didn't play horrible, but 3 putting 3 times and maybe closer to 4 if you count a chip from the fringe, is not conducive to a good score.
His strong suit, which has always been his feel, and accuracy, are not in his bag yet.

No matter how well he played today it wouldn't have mattered since AK was lighting it up.

Hopefully we can get some good practice time in soon, but it's 24° here this morning and it looks like we only have one, or maybe two days where it will be decent, but by the time we get to the course it's 5:00 or after, and cooling down.
So we might just have to struggle through with whatever game he has until school is out or a good We headed on over to the Clubhouse to sign cards and receive awards.
